The Samurai - RICKSON GRACIE


Rickson earned the black belt from his father, Helio Gracie, at eighteen. For two decades, he reigned as Jiu-Jitsu absolute champion. He moved to America in 1989 to help his brother Rorion establish their first Jiu-Jitsu academy in California. Gracie won Japan's premier fighting tournament, the Japan Open Vale-Tudo, in 1994 and 1995, both times submitting three opponents in a single night He returned to Japan to submit Nobuhiko Takada in 1997 and 1998, and Masakatsu Funaki in 2000. After retiring undefeated in 2006 Rickson focused on spreading the essence of Jiu-Jitsu, and he is currently the president of the Jiu-Jitsu Global Federation Module 1 of Self Defense Unit marks his first time producing video lessons.
