The event was created by the Japanese organization called RINGS, and, after two rounds, eight fighters remained out of the 64 who started. Besides Dan Henderson the event had the Brazilians Renzo Gracie, Renato Babalu, Rodrigo Minotauro; the Russians Andrey Kopylov and Yury Micha; the Dutchman Gilbert Yvel and the Japanese Koishi Tamura, and awarded the king of kings with $ 200,000. After tough battles with a controversial final match against Rodrigo Minotauro, Dan Henderson came out the champion.
